On-Site POS Installation & Staff Training
Most failed POS rollouts aren't software failures. They're training failures — a box arrived, the owner set it up at 11pm, and the staff learned it by guessing during a rush. We do the opposite: configured before it ships, installed on your counter, and trained in person on your actual items.
What this includes
- Menu, catalog or service list built before install day
- Hardware placed, mounted and cabled properly
- Live card testing — tap, chip and swipe
- Offline mode tested by actually disconnecting your internet
- Printers routed and verified station by station
- Role-specific training: owners, managers, front-line staff
- A one-page reference sheet left at the counter
- Follow-up visit during your first busy period
The honest version
We train by role rather than all at once, because a server and a manager need different things and a combined session teaches neither well. And we come back for a real rush — a Friday dinner service, a Saturday morning at a café — because an install on a quiet Tuesday can't surface the problems that only appear under pressure.

On-Site Installation & Staff Training: common questions
Is installation really included?
Yes. On-site install and staff training are included in what we quote, not billed separately afterward. It's the main reason to buy from a local provider rather than ordering hardware online.
How long does installation take?
A single-station setup is typically a few hours on-site. A multi-terminal restaurant with kitchen routing and handhelds can be most of a day. The configuration work happens before that, so install day is setup and training rather than data entry.
Can you install outside our business hours?
Usually, yes. For restaurants and retail we often install in the morning before opening or between shifts. Tell us what works and we'll schedule around your trade.
What if we hire new staff later?
Call us. We'd rather spend twenty minutes training your new hire than have them develop workarounds that cost you money for a year. For most clients this is just part of support.
How soon can we be live?
Most setups are live within about two weeks of approving the quote — mostly menu or catalog building and hardware delivery. If you're opening on a fixed date, give us the date and we'll work backward from it.
